Standard section tee, girder, and or guardrails, random lengths, to be free from frog and switch rail not cut apart. MAY NOT INCLUDE MANGANESE, CAST, WELDS, OR ATTACHMENTS OF ANY KIND (except angle bars).
PREPARED #1 & #2 HEAVY MELT
Size requirement - Mixed #1 & #2 Heavy Melt - Must be over 1/8 in. thick 4 ft x 18 in & under.
UNPREPARED HEAVY MELT
Any material larger than #1 or #2 Heavy Melt.
#1 CLEAN AUTO, MACHINERY & AGRICULTURAL CAST
Size requirements - NOT TO EXCEED 24” x 30” with a maximum weight of 200 lbs.
THE FOLLOWING WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN CLEAN AUTO, MACHINERY & AGRICULTURAL CAST:
Unstripped motor blocks and other automobile power train parts, sodbusters, corn picker rollers, livestock drinking cups, well pumps, ends from electric motors, gas company scrap, sewing machines, valves, counter weights, columns, pipes, grating, manhole covers, radiators, bathtubs, sinks, window weights, cast iron from furnaces, piano sounding boards, loose steel, burnt iron, non-metallic & non-ferrous metals.
HEAVY BREAKABLE MACHINE CAST
Machinery cast weighing more than 500 pounds. May include cylinders and driving wheel centers. NOT TO EXCEED 6” WALL THICKNESS. MAY INCLUDE STEEL NOT TO EXCEED 10% OF THE CAST. OIL MUST BE DRAINED AND EXCESSIVE GREASE REMOVED.
#2 STOVE CAST
Stove plate cast iron, heating cast, plumbing cast, furnace iron and enamel cast, such as sodbusters, corn picker rollers, livestock drinking cups, well pumps, ends from electric motors, gas company scrap, sewing machines, valves, grating, manhole covers, radiators, bathtubs, sinks, cast iron from furnaces and piano sounding boards.
THE FOLLOWING WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN STOVE CAST: Automobile cast, pipes, columns, machinery and agricultural cast, unstripped motors, transmissions, non-metallic & non-ferrous metals.
CAST IRON PIPE & COLUMNS - MUST BE KEPT SEPARATE FROM #2 STOVE CAST
UNCLEAN MOTOR BLOCKS
Unstripped automobile motor blocks, may include attached transmissions. Unless you have a minimum of 15 net ton of automobile motor blocks, all small quantities will be unloaded in the sheet iron or shredder type material pile. MAY NOT INCLUDE TRUCK OR DIESEL BLOCKS.
GALVANIZED, PAINTED, BLACK, SHEET, CLIP OR SIDING
New like new sheet, clip or siding scrap, must lay reasonably flat. MAY NOT INCLUDE OLD SHEET IRON.
SHEET IRON
Steel material less than 1/8” thick. Old black, painted, galvanized. May include fence wire and barbed wire, loose automobile parts such as hoods, truck lids, doors, fenders, tin food cans, rinsed clean, barrels, must have top & bottom cut out. Any closed containers in loose scrap MUST BE cut in half and cleaned out.
APPLIANCES
Stoves, refrigerator, freezers, water heaters, washers, dryers, etc.
FREON, CAPACITORS & BALLAST MUST BE REMOVED - Freon line must be broken for us to detect that freon has been removed or written verification that the CFC’s (freon) has been previously removed.
AUTOMOBILES
Whole automobiles with or without engines. ALL autos MUST have gas tank removed or punctured at least 6 times with all gas drained. Freon from air-conditioning units must be removed. Freon line must be broken for us to detect that the (CFC’s) freon has been removed or written verification that the (CFC’s) freon has been previously removed.
AUTOMOBILES CANNOT BE STUFFED. We must be able to completely check inside, trunk, under the hood & be able to see the floor of the vehicle. Gas tanks, tires, batteries closed containers of any type, may not be in autos.
All automobiles must have a signed title matching the vehicle. Auto Dealers will have the auto bodies they deliver identified by description and VIN number on a manifest, junk title, or certificate of purchase from the City or State.
TANKS
TANKS of any kind MUST be cut in half or a torched 1 ft x 1 ft hole cut into one end.
Tanks that contained hazardous, corrosive, flammable, reactive or toxic chemicals will not be excepted without written verification from an (EPA) Environmental Protection Agency approved firm that has the ability to neutralize the substance that was in the tank.
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN ANY OF THE SCRAP IRON OR METAL LOADS. ANY LOADS NOT PROPERLY LOADED ARE SUBJECT TO REJECTION.
